Public Hearing Notice

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of LeRay, shall conduct a public hearing on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Town Offices, 8650 LeRay Street, Evans Mills, New York to comply with the Resolution adopted on August 12, 2021, the Town Board of the Town of LeRay endorsed an Amended Joint Consolidation Agreement entered into on behalf of Town of LeRay Water District No. 3 and to consolidate into the Town of LeRay Consolidated Water District the aforementioned separate and individual Water District.  Upon the effective date of the consolidation, the consolidated district shall own all of the equipment and other assets of the individual Districts being consolidated.  As of the effective date of the consolidation there shall be a single consolidated budget for expenses and revenues of the consolidated district.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, there is no current debt service obligations of the individual District continue to be charged against the properties within the geographic boundaries of each of the individual District.  Any new debt incurred by the Consolidated District shall be charged against the properties of the Districts as consolidated.  The effective date of the consolidation shall be January 1, 2022.

All persons wishing to be heard on this issue should be present at the date, time and place above stated or have written comments submitted to the Town Board prior to that time and date.  Any persons requiring special accommodations to participate in such public hearing, should notify the Town Clerk at least three (3) business days prior to the hearing. 

A copy of the full Joint Consolidation Agreement is available to be examined at the Town of LeRay Town Offices during normal business hours.
