“The functions and responsibilities of the
Planning Department include serving as
professional staff to the Planning Board,
Zoning Board, and Town Board, the coordination
of subdivision reviews with town staff and other
governmental agencies, preparing project reviews
and agendas for the Planning Board, State
Environmental Quality Review (SEQR)
coordination, drafting zoning ordinance and
subdivision regulation amendments, advising the
Town Board on planning related matters,
maintenance of the official zoning map, long
range planning, dissemination of information to
the general public regarding the planning and
subdivision process, and the administration of
the Geographic Information System (GIS).”
