WATER & WASTEWATER (SEWER) SERVICES

 

Currently, there are four water districts and three sewer districts in different areas of the Town.  The Town contracts with the Development Authority of the North Country (DANC) for operation and maintenance of the water and sewer systems.  Billing and payment services are handled through the office of the Town Clerk.

 A brief general description of the service areas follows:

 

   Water District #1/Sewer District # 3

Includes NYS Route 3 from the Town of Pamelia line to the bridge crossing the Black River near the Village of Black River.  Also includes the intersecting roads as follows:  Admiral’s Walk, Patricia Drive, Riverglade Drive, Twin Oaks Drive, Duffy Road, Riverbend Drive East and West and Cullen Drive
 

Water District # 2/Sewer District # 1

Includes the area around the intersection of US Route 11 and NYS Route 342.  It includes Route 342 west to the Town of Pamelia line and Route 11 north to Waddingham Road, including Johnson Road and Holbrook Road.  It also includes Route 11 south to the railroad underpass and Route 342 east to the railroad overpass and the streets in the Woodcliff and Woodcreek housing developments and the LeRay Heights and Ledges housing developments.
 

Water District # 3/ Sewer District # 2

Includes the area along Steinhilber Road including Pleasant Creek Meadows housing development.

 

Water District # 4

Includes hamlet of Calcium and area along NYS Routes 283, 342, LaFave Road , Porter Road and the other intersecting roads in that area.
This district has been formed and funding arranged and construction is scheduled to get under way during 2009 and 2010.  More information will be posted when available.  The Town Clerk’s Office (315-629-4052) will be happy to answer questions in regard to this new District.
